Team Sigma Kappa in the National Memory Walk
Sigma Kappa is excited to kick off our philanthropy week, Ultra-Violet Days with the annual National Memory Walk on October 2nd, 2010. The Sigma Kappa, Zeta Chapter, invites all of our friends and family to take part and support this amazing cause! Join us and our lead sponsor, Mix 107.3, in raising awareness!
Net proceeds from the National Memory Walk will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, a key part of the Sigma Kappa Foundation, Sigma Kappa’s national philanthropy. Starting in 1984, Sigma Kappa responded to an increasingly critical problem facing older Americans by adding Alzheimer's Disease research and education to its philanthropic activities. Research grants are made each year to universities and other institutions actively engaged in the fight against Alzheimer's Disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research and is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations made to the National Memory Walk are tax-deductible. 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s today and every 70 seconds a new person is diagnosed. Your donation can make a difference in the lives of millions.
